Ginger Pork Rice Porridge
1 cup of white rice grains
64 oz of chicken broth
3-4 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 Bulb of Ginger
1 lb of lean ground pork
Chop up the shitake mushrooms into bit size bits (cut the ends off first)
Slice up the ginger into 1/2 inch long julienned style pieces
Dice up green onion into garnishing sizes
In a large pot, put the grains of white rice in with the 64 oz of chicken broth. Bring to boil
Once it boils, lower to low heat and cover for 10 minutes.
While the porridge is cooking, heat up another pan, add garlic, oil and cook the ground pork until it’s no longer pink.
Add 1 teaspoon each of salt and pepper to flavor it.
Add Ginger to porridge. Then it's ready to be served
